Major Turkologia

Studia turkologiczne są studiami filologicznymi poświęconymi językom i literaturom ludów turkijskich. Turkologia jako odrębna specjalność kierunku Filologia funkcjonowała od 2002 roku, jednak badania turkologiczne prowadzone są na naszym Uniwersytecie od lat 80. XX wieku. Jest to jeden z trzech działających w Polsce ośrodków turkologicznych. Zebrane w tym czasie doświadczenia pozwoliły na uruchomienie w 2021 roku odrębnego kierunku, łączącego elementy praktyczne, oczekiwane przez studentów i niezbędne na rynku pracy, z treściami teoretycznymi dotyczącymi przede wszystkim badań językoznawczych z zakresu całego turkijskiego obszaru językowego. Podkreślić należy, że poznańska turkologia jest jedynym ośrodkiem w Polsce i jednym z nielicznych ośrodków w Europie, gdzie prowadzone są badania w zakresie języka kazachskiego oraz dydaktyka tego języka.
