Major Informatyka kwantowa
Studia na kierunku obejmują 7 semestrów, po ukończeniu których student uzyskuje tytuł inżyniera informatyki kwantowej. Podczas pierwszych czterech semestrów student realizuje przedmioty obowiązkowe, wprowadzające podstawy fizyki, informatyki i matematyki, takie jak mechanika ogólna, elektryczność i magnetyzm, algorytmy i struktury danych, systemy operacyjne, sieci komputerowe, technologie internetowe, algebra i analiza matematyczna. Aby zwiększyć motywację studentów informatyki do zajęć matematycznych, wszystkie te przedmioty są wzbogacone o komponent laboratoryjny, na którym realizowane są praktyczne zastosowania wprowadzanych teorii matematycznych. Na czwartym semestrze student realizuje wybrane przedmioty z wiodących obszarów informatyki, a od piątego semestru realuzje przedmioty związane z kwantową ścieżką tematyczną. Równolegle do ścieżki tematycznej student realizuje blok przedmiotów związany z inżynierią oprogramowania; w szczególności ostatnie dwa semestry studiów przeznaczone są na tworzenie zespołowego projektu inżynierskiego.
Program studiów zakłada ścisłą współpracę z wiodącymi firmami z branży IT. Dzięki temu oferta przedmiotów obejmuje różnorodną i aktualną wiedzę oraz umiejętności praktyczne, dostosowane do oczekiwań pracodawców na współczesnym rynku pracy.
Po ukończeniu studiów student posiada bardzo szeroki wachlarz możliwości zatrudnienia. Specjalistyczna wiedza uzyskana w trakcie studiów umożliwia podjęcie pracy jako programista komputerów kwantowych m.in. w zespołach zajmujących się innowacyjnymi technologiami (np. takimi jak sztuczna inteligencja i uczenie maszynowe), symulacjami układów fizycznych i procesów chemicznych, bezpieczeństwem danych, problemami optymalizacyjnymi (np. logistyka, planowanie, optymalizacja ruchu pojazdów i łańcuchów dostaw), w działach kontroli jakości oraz w jednostkach badawczo-rozwojowych (np. poszukujących i analizących nowe materiały lub rozwijające technologie kwantowe).
