Produkcja audiowizualna to nowy kierunek studiów uzupełniających magisterskich o profilu praktycznym, który jest prowadzony na przez Wydział Nauk Politycznych i Dziennikarstwa UAM. Kierunek uzyskał finansowanie na jego przygotowanie w ramach Zintegrowanego Programu Rozwoju Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu „Uniwersytetu Jutra II”. Produkcja audiowizualna jest odpowiedzią WNPID UAM na widoczny od kilku lat trend rosnącego zainteresowania kształceniem w zakresie nowoczesnych produkcji audiowizualnych ze strony kandydatów na studia, w tym w szczególności absolwentów studiów licencjackich (np. Dziennikarstwo i komunikacja społeczna czy Filmoznawstwo) poszukujących atrakcyjnej oferty na studiach uzupełniających magisterskich. W ramach kierunku prowadzone są dwie specjalności: Promocja form audiowizualnych oraz Producent audiowizualny – freelancer.
